Aerials for Digital TV
One of the main questions I am asked by my customers is “will it be a Digital Aerial that you fit?”
Please note, there is no such thing as a ‘Digital Aerial’. It is the signal that is been received by the Aerial, from the Transmitter that is Digital. Therefor the correct installation should be carried out from the start.
To the right you will see a variety of different shapes and sizes of TV Aerials. These are just a small amount of what is on the market at this present time. They are all made from different manufacturers, from different countries around the world.
Most of these are made from different grades of Aluminium and are widely different in build quality, but none of them are Digital. However they are ‘Digital compatible’ and your reception area will dictate as to which type should be fitted.
Basically, it depends where you live !
The trick of the trade is to get the best signal quality
as possible, as the actual signal strength, (which is
of the lesser importance), can be obtained via
Amplification. However, if an Amplifier is added into
a poor signal quality, either by the wrong type of
Aerial installation, or a poor installation, the Amplifier
will be of no help. In fact all it will actually Amplify
is the poor signal quality, causing what ever reception
problems you had to become more prominent.
I stock a wide variety of Aerials, Satellite Dishes,
Cable, Amplifiers and Splitters, to cover your reception
area. I also stock a wide variety of masts and brackets to correctly support your installation (the bigger and more heavier your Aerial, the more it needs to be supported).
It is highly recommended that any masts and support brackets installed on, or near Coastal areas, should be Galvanised and heavy duty Aluminium. This will resist rust and ensure the long life of your installation.
